2 H. P. Solo® 37cc vs 2.5 H. P. Solo® 42cc

they both have 24 oz Fuel Tank

the Magnum Power Auger has the 2 H. P. Solo® 37cc

the Lazer Pro Power Auger and Lazer Mag Power Auger has the 2.5 H. P. Solo® 42cc. they look like they are built the same. whats the difference between them?

in simple terms the 2.5HP is just a bored out 2HP. I don't know for sure but the RPM's the auger shaft spins at may or may not be different. the 2.5HP will have a little more torque(easier & faster for cutting thicker ice then the 2HP). is the extra .5HP that noticiable to the average person out fishing probably not. A 2HP is more then is need for the average guy just starting out with their first power auger. now on the other hand if you are a guide then go with the higher HP.

Robert, the other major difference I see is that the 2hp Magnum has the chipper blades whereas the 2.5hp Lazer Mag has the laser blades.

What's the price difference???? I don't think 1/2 hp will make much of a difference other than noise when they are running.
