Any tips on day time crappie?

Any tips on catching crappie during daylight (what depth).

Asmost will tell you fish early and late cloudy days are best. If you don,t have a flasher GET ONE> Most importent piece of gear you have.

Try a stained lake if your targeting crappies by day. Sure some clear lakes will produce crappies by day but they are not typicaly on their feed.

Agree 100% fishing for crappies with a flasher is a must. The only time you may not need one is if your fishing in the crappie town and say they are 10 feet off the bottom in 30 feet of water, pretty simple stuff there!

I find plastics to be most affective. Flasher is very important... Some days they are 2' off bottom other days could be 7'. Also when active they will chase your bait in a cat and mouse game creating a strike.
