CAN ANYONE LEND ME A HAND ON FISHING THE MIGHTY MISS FROM BRAINERD ON DOWN TO WEREVER. HEARD THERE WERE SOME NICE FISH TO BE COUGHT. I ALSO HEARD THE BEST PLACE IS AT THE Y OF THE MISS AND CROW WING. IS THERE ANY PLACES CLOSER TO BRAINERD?

A few real good spots certainly exist from Crow Wing up, but guys would kill me if they knew I'd given 'em up. In each of these spots, only a few big fish are present. Most have been caught before, too. Even though pressure is very light. These fish remain very catchable (not tough to entice), especially in late June and October.

Thing is, these spots aren't tough to find. Look for cover near the deepest bend holes. Also cast deep diving plugs through the core of these holes. Several prime spots lie within 3 miles of Brainerd. You'll find 'em if you try! Enjoy your fishing.
