Gas Lantern fitting??

Melon

Question

I have a gas lantern that was installed on my fish house before I bought it. I am not familiar with The fitting on the outside of the house that runs to a separate propane tank. Can someone help me figure out what I need to get to run a hose from this to a 20lb tank? full-209-15336-img_01981.jpg

This comes straight out of the side of the house from the lantern. It's about 6 feet off the ground when the house is lowered and 10 feet from the front of the house where the tanks are attached. What do I need to use to hook up to a separate tank? I've looked all over for this fitting and anything that would go to it. I've been thinking about replacing the whole thing with something else but thought I would give the experts here a chance to figure this out for me. Eventually I would like to tie this in to the propane line in the house but for now I have this dilemma.

Thanks for the response!!

It looks like the fitting closest to the house will accept a LP hose with prefabbed ends on it and you could probably do some sort of tee before the propane tank. If you do take off the fitting make sure to use two wrenches so you do not disturb/loosen the joints that are staying.

Thanks for the advice. I will be changing the fitting. Any recommendations for the easiest what to use? I have a quick release hose I use for my Big Buddy heater. Is there a quick release male end the will work in this situation? Sorry for the dumb questions but I've done a bit of research and there really isn't a whole lot out there on this topic.

Thanks again.
