rattle reels

hey all I was looking at all the pages and I did not see one listing for rattle reels. Has anyone made their own? Thinking about make some for the fishing guys that I go up north with as Xmas gifts. Any ideas?

I realize this is late, but I read the thread and a lightbulb kind of went off.

A rattle reel's construction would be fairly simple. A six-inch hole saw would be ideal for the outside, and then some dowels cut to size and sunk into the plywooud around the circumference of the reel would fit the bill. All you'd need was a cheep bell from a hobby store, and an extra long bolt for the middle. I think I might have a new project! I have a bunch of six-inch holes already cut from making bean-bag toss boards. Thanks for the idea!!!
