Yes. but it is a law that is not practical. I am not sure how it applys to winter pails. If you get water from Bait store and leave with the same water. They don't want you taking water from one lake and putting it in another. Just dump our minnows before you leave lake and buy new next time.

This rule only applies to lakes that have been designated as infested. The laws state the following:

You must exchange water in bait buckets with tap or spring water prior

to leaving any infested waterbody to prevent the spread of invasive or

fish diseases.

The list of infested lakes is in the regulations. The online regulations will give you the most up to date information. Additionally, they post the information at public landings if the lake is infested.

maybe the bait stores can sell us some extra water also. Does that also mean that lakes connected to other lakes we have to do this. Maybe fishing should be set up like hunting used to be where you apply to fish a certain lake, then that's the only lake your allowed to fish the rest of the year. Sorry for the negative tone, but I am tired of all this B.S.. I love the lakes we have and wouldn't intentionally try to harm any of them. I'm also the guy that picks up after the lazy bums that treat the lakes like a waste disposal.
