now i know this question may seem redundant but i have decided on a late december sleeper house trip on millie lacs and want to get the most out of it. i have only been ice fishn for 3 years now and mostly fro perch and gills. looking to target walleye and pike while up there. what luresd work the best. im alittle familliar with jig raps, swedish pimples, darters, and buckshot. but what sizes/colors would one reccomend? im kinda guessing silverish or perch colored? thanx for any suggestions u can give. also thinkn about throwing out a tip up? is it worth it? is minnesota only 2 lines?

In recent years there have been tons of Tullibees in Mille Lacs and they are a favorite forage for bigger walleyes. Thats why one of my favorite colors for big eyes on Mille Lacs are either the Tullibee or the Purple Smelt (a slight variation) offered in the Frostee and Rattln Flyer Spoons:
