Protecting the nose

Hey everyone, I am just wondering if there are any tips or tricks on protecting the dogs nose while pheasant hunting? Just in a few hours of hunting the dogs nose gets cut up and over several days of hunting it can get pretty raw. Or will the nose toughen up over time? Thanks!

If you are talking about the pup in your picture over there <--- I wouldn't worry about it. All dogs noses get cut up after a long day in the field. If its a lab it wont even bother it one bit. Just make sure its clean at the end of the day before it scabs over
