Bryon
Anybody have any predictions what this cold front may do for fishing this weekend? Where would you look for the panfish? Any info? Thanks
Matt Johnson
This cold front shouldn't have long term effects. The weather will change to warm again here real quick and fishing patterns should return to normal, if they changed at all. The fish didn't move, they just got lockjaw. Fish that were holding on shallow breaks might have slightly slid down momentarily, but they will slide right back. I would continue to fish the same way you were fishing before the front, just maybe punch a few more holes over adjacent deeper water to search for scattered fish. Your typical late ice spots will still produce. Sure was something waking up this morning to brisk winds and single digits after such a warm day yesterday. But tomorrow is supposed to be back in the 20's and possibly 30's. Looking at 40's again for saturday. Enjoy the fishing!Good Fishin,Matt Johnson------------------First Choice Guide Service [email protected]IceleadersCatch-N Tackle and Bio BaitMarCumStone LegacyJR's Tackle
CrappieJohn
A single cold front in a week can be quite predictable as to what it will do fishing-wise. At this time of year, in this state, we can get into a pattern of "revolving door fronts" and they can really muff this up. I'd say that by Sunday you'll have a fairly consistant bitew if the forecast holds up.------------------Plastics...making better fishermen without bait! Good Fishing Guys!
