to tie on or to snap on!

i use OPTI-TACKLE CO. DUO-LOCK STAINLESS STELL SNAPS, size 52. i could tie them on if i wanted to, but i like to use a snaps because they are fast and if the fish are in the area and you can try differnt lures. plus it fast when it cold out.

Bigger lures like spoons, jiggin raps, etc. I use a small cross lock snap with a small swivel a few feet above it and a good clear mono shocker leader with a Non Stretch Superline main line. With small hooks or jigs I use a good clear mono and tie direct. If Im fishing real deep pannies I will use a 2# superline so I can feel them light bites in that deep water.

true, i like to do the same thing. i have 2 medium pole (one has a jig on it tied) the other one has nothing on it yet, 1 dead stick with snap plus buckshot spoon on it, and 1 light power pole which has nothing on it yet.

For verticle jigs and spoons I use a snap. Tye direct on horizontal baits.

Re-tie every time I change a lure, never been a fan of the snaps. The only use Ive found for them is quick changes to rigging set-ups on milacs.

Im a tie everytime guy too. Tying only takes a couple seconds longer and I think is less bulky on the line.
