Floor insulation? Salem Ice Cabin

I recently purchased a Salem Ice Cabin 8x18, the one and only thing I dislike about the house so far is that the floor is not insulated.. Got some pricing from local spray foamers to spray the underside, and i was just curious if there is any pros or cons to doing so? besides a warmer floor. Also if any one uses one without insulation and if you really feel its necessary?

Ours does not have an insulated floor. I have fished many mornings in bare feet. The forced air furnace blows on the floor. If you did insulate it, you may save on propane, but IMO its something you could do without. Our house is the 14' though.

We did decide to insulate the floor in the fish house my friend and I went in on together. The carpenter said, if you use the pink sheet of insulation on top of the existing floor, we used 3/4"pink foam, just cut it out and lay it in. then we put 1/2"osb board on top, it has a moisture coating on top so we didn't need to seal the whole thing, just around the edges with Thompson water seal spay can. Next, the indoor outdoor carpet is going in, can hardly wait.

We Thought about just punching a hole here and there to squirt in some spray foam, and of course where there was any air holes around the edges, in a way you figure some insulation is better than none, but we

decided on the pink foam panels, way easier to cut in. And it's dense so no spacer boards were needed for support.

if so hows the wall insulation? do you get frost spots or do they seem pretty tight? Ive been running the furnace drinking beer in it in the yard and the furnace seems to heat it up with no problem! just overly anxious to get it out and see how she works on the ice.

I have a 20 foot ice cabin and had the dealer spray foam the under side of the floor before we picked it up. I really have nothing to compare it to. I know many swear by the spray foam floor. It might be a little more noticeable in a bigger house. I have little kids that play on the floor so it was a must for the,wife. I also upgraded to the double 30 pound propane tanks. When it is real cold the furnace runs most of the day.
