How far from Alexandria for Grouse?

How far would I need to go from the Alexandria area to find a grouse or two? No deer hunting for me this year, the boat is put away but yet we are headed up tomorrow for a few things this weekend.

I know I can find some roosters, maybe I should just stick to that?

You dont have to go very far...access this weekend will be the issue. I will be deer hunting, but I will see a lot of grouse in the woods near Bertha at my uncle's farm.

watched 5 grouse walk around my tree stand this year and i am just north of osakis. so not very far.
