Man he is lookin good in the chase. He can almost taste it and he's ready to rock.

I honestly tried to stay away from the TV today but after we got back from the sportsmen's club, threw down a bowl of excellent chili and getting a glimpse of the race it was just too hard to stay away.

Can anyone who watched it say they didn't like this one? The boys were havin at it!

It was pretty crazy the entire race! Finally a good one that you wanted to watch. Everyone was saying that Talladega was going to be the wild card in the Chase but I think it may have been this one. Too bad Edwards got back on the lead lap because the race points would have been real tight with three races to go.

What was up with Vickers? NASCAR should have parked him after his 3rd or 4th wreck. Geez. Oh well, at least he ended Kenseth's day which in turn made mine. smile

401 laps of snooooz...... sleep

99 laps of fun.

Talk about Talladega being a sleeper ? crazy

This Martinsville COT race could easily be cut down to 200 laps.

Nice to see smoke get a win, and keep "the chase" exciting.

Also nice to see jimmy cry about taking second. cry

The truck race was a far far better race at only 200 laps.

Vickers should have been blacked flagged as he hit about everything on the track but the pace car.

With the lead JJ had right before Vickers had another caution, it was JJ's race to lose.

It seemed to me JJ just made a statement that he may have won if Vickers would not have caused the last caution. I didn't hear any whining all I heard was a statement by JJ about Vickers unskilled driving.

It is what it is.

Maybe vickers fault, maybe jimmy himself ?

jimmy had the inside line on the restart.

Tony passed him on outside.

Maybe not pitting for tires cost him the race ?

I am not a JJ fan but he did show he was a class act by not spinning smoke. I believe that smoke would of spun JJ if smoke was second coming in to the last corner.

JJ was disappointed for sure and probably wondering if he did the right thing by racing Smoke clean, thus giving up the win, but I had to thank him for not bumping Smoke out of the way. It would have been real easy to do it and somewhat expected.

I gained some like for the guy after his interview and I hope Smoke at least gives him an upnod the next time they see each other.

...and this is why we all love Stewart:

But Stewart did offer a solution, perhaps only slightly tongue in cheek.

"I think they ought to get a portable boxing ring," Stewart said. "As soon as they get done with the victory celebration, set the boxing ring on the frontstretch, give the fans a real show they paid for.

"If you want to boost the attendance at Martinsville, have a boxing match with each of the guys that had a beef with each other."

I have been critical of the quality of NASCAR races, but that race yesterday was a quality race. That was a fun race to watch!

Yep. Short track that takes the car out of the equation equals better racing.

    • My kid was eating in Beverly Hills and ran into this guy. Talked to him a bit and wished him luck in the game tonight.
    • 🤔as a recovering machinist!🤣🤣that must make me a recovering welder!
    • As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that.  If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…
    • I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought. Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...
    • Congrats on the motor!  I think you’ll like it.   I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers.  160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.   Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor.  Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?
    • I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius) says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.
    • You're very lucky a troop of Sea Monkey's didn't carry you away.
    • Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe.  I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho.  Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
