migration question

Recommended Posts

someone at work told me that where I hunt, the twin cities area is not in a fly pattern. so he said most likely all the ducks that we were seeing were local ducks and now that migration has started most likely all those ducks have gone away. the question now is, is the season over for those of use who hunt near the twin cities? what can we expect to see?

that somebody at your work is full of horse waste. I have friends in the metro that were beating up on migrating divers all weekend.

You should tell that guy not to talk about stuff he knows nothing about.

I'm not expert but it was my understanding that Minnesota does not have many local ducks and that the hunting isnt good there until the migrators come down. I could be wrong on that, just what I have heard from others.

Your friend has a shotgun in his truck and a dog in the kennel in the back of his truck to run out to the local metro area spots on a moments notice.

Ask your friend to meet you for a cup of coffee. As you hand it to him, kick him in the nuts. smile

I live in Prior Lake right next to a bunch of ponds and marshes. I am not close to exagerating when I say that I see hundreds of ducks every night flying over my house. Different ducks as the season has progressed. Last week, I estimate over 400 migrant Mallards and maybe even some spoons flew over. If you are close to the area, just go sit by the Mystic Lake fire station at sunset. Un...real
