boat blind position

Recommended Posts

Where or how do you hide your blind. I have seen people pull into the cattails, in front of the cattails and in very sparse cover in the middle of the lake. If you do leave your blind exposed do you have full top cover and do the birds fully commit to the decoys?

I have typically hidden my blind with as much natural cover as I can but does the blind work when more exposed?

I usually add natrual conver to my blind and the blind I built last year I think with out anything did flare birds and after I covered it up a bit it seem to let them come in easier.

The boat I have now I dont have a fold up blind on it I took drain tile and PVC and mounted to the side of the boat and I pull into the cover with the boat chop some of the cover down and place in the tile/pvc pcs its been working great.

I have also tried setting my big blind up in the rice with acover and some what brushed out and the birds dont like it they come and flare just out of range. I think its mostly due to the HIGH profile the boat and blind leaves but I do think the more natural you can make it the better.

I have been in the weeds in front of the weeds and I feel that in the cover is the best. less is better sometimes
