Anyone using a HB 597ci combo or simular for Ice fishing?

Just looking for some pros and cons from someone using this setup

I have the 385 portable combo and it works well (winter & summer). I do have trouble with Interference when i'm around multiple vexilars. If you already have the 597ci i would suggest getting the ice ducer kit and using it in winter. If your looking to buy the whole thing new I would say unless your going to use it in summer I would just go with a Ice fishing specific Flasher (velixar/marcum/HB)

I have the 788ci and used it last winter ----it worked fine ---the only negative that I had with it was that it seemed to eat the vex type batteries. I had to recharge after every trip out. I do like the gps feature especially------lets me know where I caught them last time I was out

I use my 797 and love it. I do get interference when fishing next to other brand finders but not always. Love the graph vs a flasher. The GPS with lake maps makes it easy to find a sweet spot and like said save waypoints of good fishing spots.

just got my 597 ci kit today from amazon today with ducer & storage pack. cant wait to open it & give a try
