Muzzleoder hunt

I am thinking about a muzzleoder hunt out by pierre this winter and i am wondering whats the population? is there mostly whitetail or is there mule deer too?

Did you draw an any deer tag or just a doe tag?

There is some good public land late season opportunities a lot closer than Pierre if you have good boots...

just 2 doe tags for muzzloder and i have an anydeer tag for archery. but i would like try for a mule deer

Personally I would go a little farther west than Pierre if I was on a mission for a mule deer, your odds will be better.
