Loooong week!!!

Who else in the southern part of the state thinks this has been a long week? Go figure this is the week I have 3 days off and work all next week. Good news is it is now half way over. Lookin forward to Saturday. Just curious to see what everyone thinks about this new rule? I would like to be hunting during this week but I guess I am indifferent about it.

I can't stand sweating in the duck blind. So I don't miss it at all. I don't mind the new rule but as far as there being teal around to shoot this year (which was the whole point) was a big bust!

After thinking about it, when I first started hunting back in 1968, we would hunt a lake on the weekends only and by the time the next weekend came, it was like opener again because the ducks weren't shot at during the week like they are now during the whole season. That's why the Dakota's have such good waterfowl hunting is due to the lack of hunting pressure there.

Now with this week of no waterfowl hunting, it will be good hunting for the weekend! They should close the hunting when I can't hunt all the time!LOL!!!

Even though I probably won't hunt the late season I like the opportunity to hunt earlier. For me it adds a few days to my season.

My personal belief is that I think the DNR got it right this time...bet the hunting is good this weeknd also of course depending on weather and location..plan to be out on Sunday since the boy has Friday night lights and then the followup Saturday AM film.

I like how it is set up now. Gives us a shot at some early season birds and then gives them a break for a bit. Hoping some birds move down with the way this wind is blowing tonight.
