My dad gave me his boat, I am wanting to bring the colors out on it, what do you guys use????

zamboni, ive heard good things about JJVs marine cleaners,supposed to work great and is enviromentally friendly, havent actually used it,but seen it used on infomercials,worth a shot,

I've had good luck on painted aluminum boats with a good wash and waxing using a Turtle Wax type wax and a 10 inch buffer.

I would start with a good wash with JJV's best hull cleaner, then soft pad buff it with 3M Perfect-it 3000 ultrafina, depending on how good the paint is. Take it easy going over the graphics, it will burn those old colors heavily if you have your buffer set high. Keep it slow and flat! A lot of times, I will tape the graphics all off.

If the paint is too far gone, I would just wash it with JJV's then hit it with normal turtle wax or a wax to your liking. The JJV's stuff works awesome, atleast I know the aluminum cleaner does.
