My stereo finally died and I'm looking at replacing it. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I see some have weatherband, does anyone have this on your stereo and is it something I should get, I don't own a smart phone yet. I may get an i-phone soon and would probably get an i-phone compatible stereo.

The new water proof Sony Marine Radios are great. No need to put in a cover as they are water proof. The one I own has a connection for a IPod but does not have the Weather Radio feature. Mine is am/fm CD Ipod. Great sound with Sony marine speakers and comes with a remote so if you fish up front you can change songs/radio.
