Sorry to beg for an answer but dont have a reg book handy yet but i have a fishing trip over youth hunt, i know its a touchy subject. Planned the fishing trip according to last yrs schedule, well we all know the dnr changed that to a week earlier. Can my 16 yr old son take my 13 yr old out for this hunt? Thanks for replies.

This out of the regs migose

Youth Hunt: On Sept. 10, 2011, waterfowl hunters age 15 and younger, when accompanied

by a non-hunting adult (age 18 and older, no license required) may take ducks, Canada

geese, mergansers, coots and moorhens from one-half hour before sunrise to 4 p.m. Motorized

decoy restrictions are in effect. Bag limits are the same as the regular duck season. Five

Canada geese may be taken statewide. Hunters ages 13 to 15 must have a firearms safety

certificate or apprentice hunter validation in their possession. All other migratory bird hunting

regulations apply. A free small game license and HIP certification are required for youth

age 15 and under
