Your best bet is to make sure something is not clogging your vacuum line or somewhere in the hole where it attaches. I had had stuff get suck in and needs to be cleaned out. I have gotten to the point of making sure I freeze stuff before I seal them just to keep stray junk from getting sucked in.

On my model 750 there is a steel ball that will get pushed down when you attach the vacuum hose. It is pushed up tight so maybe make sure it can move in case it just got stuck from some sticky stuff.

Check the gasket too. Make sure its not nicked up our out of place.

Great point!!

I always take my gasket out when I am done using it. I have found it will compress it and form a memory. It is much thicker if you leave it out and put it in only when you are going to use it.
