I travel all over the US fishing, state to state and always need info, more info, more fish! MN forum is the best as they always have users and new posts. Please use this forum! It helps all that fish and will keep the interest going. No info, no people fishing and then we all suffer! It is a different world and we need to be involved!

As a Minnesoootan that just came back from visiting family in Michigan, I would have to agree!

We spent 4 days at a cottage between Au Gres, and Tawas on beautiful Lake Huron! It looks like awesome water, but in those 4 days I saw zero boats out fishing. Is this normal for this time of year? Spent a few more days in the UP, and also did not see much for people out fishing. I always thought Michigan had big fishing opportunities... what am I missing?

Have to agree with the op, this is a great site and for some reason the Michigan forum just hasn't taken off. As for Michigan being a big fishing opportunity state, it is, but people are MUCH more spread out. Can't tell you how many times I've limited out on Walleyes, Crappies, Trout, etc. and not come across a boat all day long. Lots of good water to fish and not a lot of people doing it (especially in the U.P.).
