Just got back from a trip to Lac Seul and thought I'd share some information in case there are others headed up. We went out of Hudson and did the houseboat deal. We had a 6 hour boat ride and ended up in Sen Bay, NW of Hudson.

The lake was down 4 feet this year. It was amazing to see the lake level line on the shore rocks, to see new beaches and HUGE rocks we'd never seen before.

We fished Monday-Saturday morning and for the most part fishing was good. We had a lot of wind except for one day and the days we had wind, we caught fish pretty easily. The one day we did not have rain, we got rained on and fishing was very tough. We got our limit of fish to eat and that was about it...pretty tough bite.

We saw all sorts of year classes, so the lake is in good shape. Biggest walleye was 26", biggest pike 42" and smallie was 18". Bait of choice on our trip was minnows. Leeches were used, but it seemed like the fish were really keyed in on minnows. Fish came anywhere from 10-32 FOW, but most were in that 20-30 range and off your typical points & breaks.
