Just recently bought a boat and it came with a guest on-board battery charger. Never had one before, so dont know much about them. I tried it out last night, hooked the neg and positive to my trolling motor battery and pluged it in, and it wouldnt turn on to charge, is there a reset or something else im suppose to do... thanks

You might have a breaker or fuse in the boat that has been tripped. The charger should light up when plugged into a 120v receptacle. Another thing to check would be if a master switch was installed between the battery and the charger?

What type of battery are you using? AGM/Gel/Lead? Some on-board chargers dont't do lead or you have to press a swith.
