Is This A Eastern Phoebe ?

I spotted this guy at my bird bath and did not recognize it so I grabbed my camera and took a couple of shots through the screen. The best I could come up with was a Eastern Phoebe. Sorry about the shots but they were hand held and through the screen.

Jim, they are alot like swallows, building mud nests on ledges of buildings and under bridges. If you keep seeing them they are probably nesting nearby.

He was just around the one day. Wished he would build a nest close by so I could see and take pictures of the babies.

Jim, phoebes will often nest on platforms mounted on walls under low roof eaves. If you have a shed or outbuilding (even a garage) that's not in a high traffic area and has a good roof overhang, you can mount a wooden shelf about a foot long and 8-10 inches deep in hopes they'll nest there.

Mount it 10 or 12 inches down from the soffit. Get it up by next April and start playing Phoebe songs in the mornings and see what happens.
