bigswede
Going to wire in a 2nd graph/GPS on teh BOw of the boat and I am wondering where to wire it to? Do I go to the startign battery like everythign else and the indash one from Factory, or do I go to the trolling battery that is closer to the unit? it is a Lowrance unit if it makes a difference? Thanks
gdog
From what I have read and what I did, was wire it to the battery that powers your main motor- and all other accessories in your boat- except your trolling motor. Supposedly, if you hook into the trolling motor batteries you can get interference from the trolling motor. You should have a wire up in the bow you can splice into- like where your bow light plugs in- that is most likely powered by your battery in the back. PerchJerker
You want it wired to your starting battery, not your trolling motor batteries. You can either go directly to the battery, or to a fuse block or accessory buss if you have one in your boat.
