Spider silk nest?

I thought this was kinda neat. When I looked at the photo, I wasn't sure if this Yellow Warbler was building a nest or had just eaten a spider. After referring to one of my bird guides, I learned they do use spider silk in their nests. I assume it makes the nest a lot stronger.

Thanks, Dan. I just thought it was a refreshing change from my typical "static bird in a tree" type of shot. I did also get a shot of a Black-billed Cuckoo in the same area. I had never heard of that bird, let alone get a pic of one. The birds along with the Lady Slippers and other wild flowers made for a good day. smile
