I am in need of getting my airless sprayer fixed. I borrowed it to a buddy and it came back not working. It is a wagner stand up style that you can put a 5 gallon bucket under the front. I live out west of the city's.

Thanks for the help.

What is it doing or not doing?

If he didn't clean it out then you can start by using either water or mineral spirits depending on oil or water based paint.

So that you should know because mixing that up will just make a mess inside.

You can hope to flush it out to start with by running it in primer mode. In the mean time remove the hose and see if it is obstructed and disassemble the gun and clean it and the filter.

If it primes let it run the water to MS till it is clear.

Then switch it over to spray and let it flush out till it runs clear.

Put the hose and gun back on and flush that out.

You might have to clean or replace the filter again.

Hopefully he didn't let it hammer away in spray mode while taking a break or turn the sprayer on while in spray mode.

In you owners manual it might give you a place to look on the sprayer itself to be cleaned or maintained.

Other then that I'd look up a Wagner Authorized Service Center and have them look at it.

The sprayer runs, but it wont build up any pressure. Normally it builds pressure then shuts down. This one wont. I have flushed it out a few times. I even checked to make sure the ball wasnt stuck so it would prime. Non of this has seemed to help.

I origanlly purchesed it from a gentalman up in the maple grove area who sells remanufactured sprayers. I dont remember his name or number. Hopefully somebody will know know who he is or someone else who does this type of work.
