Mercury 25 horse Outboard?

Just wondering about EFI verses carbs.In the market for a new 25.Any thoughts about 4vs.2 strokes or E-tec,yami,or suz.good or bad?c63

I can't help you our than if I was looking at a smaller motor like this it would be a 4 stroke yami or honda and I'd lean a bit toward the Honda. Post this question in the boat/outboard forum and you'll get more response if you haven't tried there already.

I purchased the Mercury Efi and so far it is GREAT!Trolls down nice top end is excellent and the fuel economy is better than the Old Yamaha I had.I filled the tank (6 gallons)used the motor 3 times (about 6-8 hours)and it is still just below the full mark.c63

Great to hear it's working well for you. Mercury has been a solid company for a long time. It's also nice having the smart trolling guage system for the 4 stroke and optimax motors is a really nice feature.
