Steering

I bought this boat the past winter and the tilt/trim did not work on it. I just had a new one put on. But now I cant get the steering to work. It will go almost all the way to the left but nothing to the right? Anyone have ideas of what Im doing wrong? I screwed the the sleeve in to the fitting on the line but it seems like I cant get the piece that clamps down on that sleeve far enough to the left. Or I am doing something completly wrong here? Did it work fine before? It looks like the cable end is extended all the way just to connect to the motor. It should connect to the motor half extended so it can travel equally in both directions.

yes it did work before....so am I not doing something right??? Should I have the arm extended all the way to the left before I screw that shaft part on???

Did you disconnect the motor to work on the trim & tilt?

With the motor centered, the steering cable should be extended 1/2 way out to give you full LH and RH turns.

got it taken care of!! I ended up having to reposition the deal that holds on to the shaft and adjusting where everything sat. Thanks marine man for your advice!

Well now that I got everything fixed for the steering a bearing on the trailer decided it was time to explode....needless to say I wont be fishing for a few days!!!
