Spare tire

I am new to long rides with the ATV....

I have done many 6-10 mini trip over the years but have never been comfortable taking longer ones until I got a newer machine. I finally did get a newer machine this spring.

From the heading you can see what my question is going to be. I was up on the Soo Line last weekend and put on about 50 miles. We crossed several bridges and they look very safe but the surface look a little iffy for the tires? Meaning it looked as it could puncture the tire? Also saw many rocks along the way that looked a little sharp?

Seen several other ATV's along the way. I did not see one with a spare tire? Does anyone carry them? Or are the tires tougher than I think?

Just want to make sure I do not get stranded out there?

Its far easier to carry the things you need to repair a tire than it is to carry a spare. (or 2 since fronts and rears are typically different sizes)

Buy yourself a decent 12 volt compressor and a tire plug kit and learn how to use them. I've plugged and filled several on the trail for unprepared riders. One guy insisted on paying me and he gave me enough to buy the compressor! wink

Or just invite MacGyver along since he brings enough stuff to repair a few machines on the trail whistle
