tip-up brands

Question

I've always fished with artic fisherman tip-ups but went to gander mountain the other day and they were $30, jeez. Anyone have anything to say about the gander guide series tip-ups or the frabill wood tip-ups? - or any other brands for that matter? Both the GS and the frabill go for $15.

What's wrong with your Arctic Fishermen tip ups ?
If your spindels are junk you can send them back to Arctic Fisherman and they will replace em relatively cheap. Cheaper than buying new boards for 15 bucks apc garunteed.
Look thier phone # up on the web and give em a call. They have their addy on the box as well if you want to go that route.

I've sent spindles in and gotten new ones before without a problem. Like getting a brand new tip up. Not sure what they charge now but the last time I sent some in it was like $3.50 apc or somthing like that. That was about 6 -7 years ago so I imagine it's a bit more now but worth it.
