Boat Umbrella

I had a couple years ago that I got from the c-store in Owatonna. They were the complete package with the umbrella and holder that mounted on the back of the boat seat. Worked good, and the thing I liked over a bimini top was you could just remove them so that they didn't impede you casting.

Just remember to take them off when you head for a new spot. Umbrellas don't float!!(I know).

I got a Bimini 5 years ago when I bought my boat. I don't use it often but when I do I am really glad I have it. It can be taken down fast and goes up in only a few minutes and that is full sides and top. I can't speak for the umbrella but I am happy with the money I've spent in a Bimini.

For those of you that have these bimini tops, do they make them for single windshield lund? I like the idea and have spent $30 in duct tape trying to engineer something similar. The blue print worked better in my mind.

They make of the tops that are free standing. So it really doesn't enclose you but gives you the shade and can folded down.

I have a single console myself and zip tied a 2' piece of plastic pipe to my console and just insert the umbrella. I added another towards the bottom of the pipe and ran a bungee cord to the umbrella or my landing net to hold them in place and not fly out. I'll seen many deck umbrellas take flight. So whether moving or not I thought it would be best to have to anchored.
