Quick question.... (Blower Resistor)

Recommended Posts

I just replaced my blower resistor and harness plug in my 05 Colorado for the second time because the connections burnt up inside. The first set was coverered under warranty, and it looks like they redesigned the new set and installed a silicone seal to the plug end, the old one was just a plastic plug with no seal. My question is do I need to put any dielectric grease(or anything) on this connection or should I leave it dry?

Thanks!

On most normal connections I would too, but this connection gets so hot the grease that was in the previous plug cooked out of it. I'd like to not have to spend another $80 to replace everything again in a couple years, so if there is a proper way to protect these plugs that maybe GM recommends, I'd like to hear it.
