amateurfishing
Just had one of my foot platforms dissenagrate on my trailer yesterday behind back tire. Since this part is usually under water when trailering boat, do i need to use marine plywood or can i use some other scrap piece of wood for this little 6 x 10 inch area? CAMAN
I'd suggest something green treated or rot resistant. Preferably a 2x6, 2x8, or whatever fits best. Both mine rotted away about 10 years ago, and at the time I was working for a place that used plastic lumber to manufacture lawn furniture. Grabbed a couple 2x8 scraps and routed some no slip grooves into the top. Fastened with some stainless steel lag bolts and was good to go. The trailer will rot away long before the foot pads ever will.
