Any bass reports from up north?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how the Ontario system lakes like rainy or jackfish or manitou type areas are doing for smallie/spawn/bedding reports?

Its been a really weird Spring down in the MN area, lots of rain and cooler weather with a few nice days mixed in.

Been trying to follow a few reports up North this Spring and it has been pretty quiet. Do you think the smallies may even skip the spawn this year - or have you guys up north had a little different - and hopefully better Spring weather system than we have had?

Hope so!

Thanks for any feedbck-

Hoffer

No beds yet up here on the Lower Manitou. the temps are from 51-59. We were out tonight and found a few bass up shallow and some on the outside of the spawning areas.

We have been having about the same kind of weather you have had. We need some nice warm stable weather to get the bass moving to their beds.

Bass are starting to bed on certain parts of lower manitou as of tuesday, in some of the back bays where the warmer water is 63f seems to be the key temp. Alonghill has quite a few beds in the North and SE bays. Gates lake is going crazy with beds, along with Doug lake, Sawbones lake, and sawbones bay.
