Fenwick warranty

oscar

Question

I have(had) an AVS 70 MLM Fenwick Techna Av coupled with a Shimano Stradic and loaded with 6# P-Line. Its been my go to rod for years for walleye and panfish. Today I was out jigging for eyes, I set the hook and it snapped completely off at the first rod guide. I couldn't believe it. It just about made me cry. This has been the best, most sensative, lightest, best balanced rod I've ever owned. 90% of the time I fish with this rod. I know it has a lifetime warranty but I looked at their web site and they no longer make it. Not to mention I bought it several years ago and no longer have the reciept for it, however I do have the original wrapper it came with that has the warranty info on it. Do you think I stand a chance at any kind of a warranty? Which rod would be a good replacement for it? I mostly jig for eyes but also used it for pulling smaller cranks and livebait rigging. I'm open to any suggestions.

I called the store that I bought it from and they said to bring it in and they will mail it off to Fenwick. They said in a couple weeks I should get a letter in the mail stating replacement options. I wish I lived a little closer to the outlet store you mentioned, it would be nice to just bring it in and walk out with a replacement rather than waiting for one. I really don't have many rods, maybe its time to invest in a backup. I've always been interested in trying a St Croix rod out so I was checking them out. Wow talk about sticker shock!
