Manion Lake Road

Has anyone traveled on the Manion Lake / Grey Trout road recently? I'm wondering what kind of shape it's in. I will be on it tomorrow morning and I HATE surprises. Any info would be appreciated.

We traveled this route last Wednesday and again Sunday. The road is in generally good condition but we did run into a grader on wednesday and he did not let us pass for several miles where he could have easily pulled to the side at a few turnouts. Yea, I know, it's their road but common courtesy?

I was told they are planning on widening this road and even paving it due to the increased use this road has been seeing. There is about a mile stretch in the middle of this route where they blasted rock and began widening the road. There is also a MONSTER pile of class V on the northern end of the road. We don't know the schedule for construction but if anyone knows, please chime in.

Haven't heard anything about and have not seen it in any of the timber planning. Pretty doubtful and most likely a rumor. More than likely just widening the road and graveling it if upgrading it. The timber industry is not in the best shape and the pulp trucks would destroy the road very fast if paved. Wouldn't be feasible in my opinion. If travelling on the logging roads, you are best to have a radio. This should be made mandatory for all travelling logging roads to avoid any problems.
