HDMI Splitter?

I only have 2 HDMI ports on my LCD, DirecTv stays plugged in, but now since I bought the Xbox, I really don't want to have to keep switching the PS3 and 360 cords around on back of TV. They do each have their own cables, do splitters work good, or do I lose any of the HD capabilities if I use one?

Sounds like you need something to combine the signals, not split them, but I get what you're saying. I'm wondering if it would be easier and cheaper to use the component cables (assuming your TV has component inputs) from either the XBOX or PS3. You won't lose that much in picture quality but will have to run a pair of audio cables (Left+Right) as well.

Otherwise pick up a HDMI switch like this at Radio Shack for $30-40. edit: Looks like this is available thru on-line order only. I would guess Best Buy, Walmart, etc would have similar switches.

Do a search for.my thread on this from last winter. I bought one off of Amazon. 3 devices into one input. When I turned the Ps3 on it automatically goes to that signal. When I turn the PS3 off it goes back to the PC signal.

Mine is the top one in PI's post, except 3 inputs, just in case I need it in the future. The wire is runthrough the wall. The outputis sitting right behind the entertainment center
