state park and state forest fees

I know state parks have fees for camping but what about state forest? I know were i hunt its state forest and we camp there and we have never paid a fee, the DNR site says state forest allows disperesed camping meaning we dont need to be on a designated camp site but you can use the ones thay have. So whats the answer? Do i have to pay to camp on state forest or not? or does it depend which state forest it is?

State parks you have to apply to hunt in most of them i think but state forest theres no applying or fee just go and hunt in regards to regulations right? thats how i understood it looking at the DNR site but thats hunting i want to know about camping in the summer and such

Looks like you have to pay for designated campsites. "Dispersed" Camping is "free".
