I finally found a red headed woodpecker. I haven't seen one for a long time. Also got the attention of a barred owl...I think its a barred owl? Interesting call it was making.

Sorry for the jumpy video but I was out of breath...did a rockford in the gravel and ran to the tree line right in front of some amish place. The owl was at the campground.

Yep, barred owl. I didn't hear any barred owl calls, though. Could be I missed them. There was something calling in the background when the owl was in the frame, but it sounded like more of a Rebel yell than a barred owl.

Steve turn up the volume. It was definitely that owl making the call...doesn't sound like "hoot" at all.

Those are the ones that sound like a Rebel yell. I've never heard a barred owl make calls like that. But they do vocalize in quite a few ways, so it's sure possible that's an owl and not a Rebel.

It's a fun vid in any case.
