cant stay in buisness if you dont make profit. the bait shop i go to traps their own minnows. still have transportation cost, energy cost to operate the holding tanks, and labor to sell them. the only thing that's free in any buisness when you walk in is the air you breath. good luck.

Tip this week is from Rainy Lake:

When out on the lake trust what your electronics are telling you. If you can see fish on the finder give it a try. It doesn't mean they will bit but you never know. Was fishing in 8-10ft of water and there was a spot about 6-8 feet in diameter that showed fish...no where else. I used my bow mount to keep me within 10 feet of the spot and started flipped a 1/8 oz jigs with a minnow and caught 10 walleyes between 20 and 25 inches in 45 minutes. These fish are all too big for our slot limit to keep but it sure is fun when you've got them cornered and they want what you present.
