The wife needs to get her computer looked at, does anyone know of a reputable repair service in the Lino/ForestLake/hugo area?

I work in Hugo and our co. uses Rolltex. Its right off 97, east of 61, in Forest lake in a little strip mall.

The wife called them and they said the hard drive crashed, she took it in to them and they refused to look at it, said it was too old. They were less than pleasant.

She ended up going to Chips in Hugo, they said it was a virus and they could fix it no problem.

MinnesotaMike next time post some questions here, we can probably diagnose what the issue might be.

as for them saying the hard drive is to old? Nonsense, sounds to me they just aren't hungry for business. Yes older computer can be a pain, and your hard drive is probably an IDE drive and they are harder to find now for replacement but you can still find them.

The fact that the other place said its a virus and they just said the hard drive crashed makes one of them sound pretty sketchy!!!!

I've used Rolltex numerous times as well, as have my parents. I do know that they have a sign posted on their wall that they don't service a couple of different computers, I think Dell and Gateway, so maybe that was some of the issue as well?

In the future, there's also TechCon in Forest Lake, which is downtown, in the same building as Country Home Bakery.

He's a pretty good guy as well.

He'll diagnose stuff for you, then let you take it home and fix it if you desire.

dont service dell or gateway? I bet that is 90% of the business my friend has is dell and gateway. Heck they are the easiest to work on in my eyes!
