Anybody ever work on Factory Trawler?

Hey guys, hows it going? Has anybody ever worked on a Factory Trawler? And if you have, how was it? I love fishing and i want to go to Alaska, and i figured the best way is to work on a Factory Trawler. I would have to work as a processor, but at least ill be on the boat. Has anybody ever heard of a company called Glacier bay(Kodiak Divison)? Any info would be appreciate, im trying to make sure this boat will be safe and the job pays 5000 a month, does that sound right? Thanks and God Bless.

sounds interesting, not my line of work but I did some figuring, assuming that your on this boat for a month, and doing 12hrs work/day, that puts your pay at about $13 an hr.
did you happen to catch that Discovery channel series on this type of work?
Do a google search, lots of info on the life and dangers of this line of work.
