Picked up my Black Gun a DPMS ar15 on Friday. I had won a muzzy on a calender drawing for youth sports, Decided I would never use one so I traded. Am I happy, Went out shooting it on Easter afternoon, Just like plinking with a 22 but louder and a bit more expensive.Does anyone else in the north west area have one and know a range colse by that I could go to? I want to get it sighted in so it can drive tacks. And does anyone have any suggestions on putting some "Bling" on it that makes it better, grips, flash hider etc.? I do not want to make a 20 pound fashion statement just add a few things that makes it more user friendly.

what model do you have and what do you want to do with it? predator hunt? personal defense carbine? just a plinker? Determine the use for the rifle then that will help you to decide what to hang off the rails.

Predator/plinker, like I said, I like mt guns to drive tacks. That baby is locked up hi, dry and tight, I have a Glock in case the need arises at home or away. I just need some ideas on different grips, perhaps a lazer bi-pods maybe but I do not like to buy junk I like quality pieces but yet affordable. Does that help any? and Thanks

If you want to drive tacks then you might want to look at a timney trigger. Also get the best glass and mounts you can and lap the rings in. Then start looking at internet sights for accessories, they are endless for "black guns".

Yep, he's right.

Other options include a JP single stage for about $110 or a Rock River arms 2-stage for even less.

You could also do a google search and find simple instructions on how to cut the stock trigger pull to about half the poundage it comes at. It's a do it yourself consisting of clipping & bending a spring and is pretty darn easy. This isn't gonna give you the no-creep, ultra-crisp break as the others but's it's free and a big improvement over how it is now.
