Trolling Motor receptacle question

it also depends on the wire size your connecting to the plug, that sytle plug accepts upto 8 gage wire i believe, i ran 6gage wire to my motor and needed a plug that would accept 6 gage wire,i ended up getting a plug from the motor clinic in bloomington. some of those plugs you can make the 24,36 volt with jumpers right in the plug, rather than a jumper fron each battery.

goodluck,

mike.

Cabela's sells a plug from Marinco that accepts 6 gauge wire in the plug. Its not a cheap piece of equipment but I'm not sure if there is anything better out there. I wired my 24v Powerdrive with this plug.

Got everything I needed from the guys at Motor Clinic in about 5 min.

Their support rocked! Answered all my questions.

Only thing they didn't have was the P/N: MKR-18A And I found that on clearance at West Marine for under $3.00!!!
