I dont know how to post pics but I am sure alot of you have seen the pic. The pic with the giant Cat and the two guys holding it up. Does anyone know the story behide the pic? Some guy on a diffrent message board said he and his buddies caught the fish in Kansas. Sounds like talk to me.

Yes its the first one. Some bone head said he caught it in the Kansas. I read it was caught in Italy in the po river

Yes the ansas catch is a talk story, it's true it has been caught in Italy on the PO river.
This is a weird type of Welsh, it looks like a mix of Catfish and Bowfin, it grows at enormous rate within the first few years, there have been some weighting up to 500lbs.
They are actually a natural disater in Italy, just like asian carp, since there is no predator that can reduce population quickly enough (only one is the Pike) because they outgrow the target size within few months. The governement actually invites fishermen to capture and kill all the possible specimens found. It was introduced as a case study on a government fishery on Po river (largest river in Italy), then a large flood came and fish got away. Now they are modifying the ecosystem, since they actually stand against current and eat anything that swims by.
