Motor power

I've always wondered but never ask how come. Why do some boats kick up alot of water behind their motors? Like 10 or so feet into the air. Only seems to be mostly the high power bass boats and some speed baots. It looks intimidating some what. Is it something most motors can duplicate by some kind of attachment?

They likely have a cupped SS prop on their motor.
We have a SS that is cupped that will throw a 6' high rooster tail, not to bad but nothing like them big bass boats. Of course they have a bigger motor than me (I have a 140), so that also helps.

Just trim it all the way up and go wide open...you can almost see the gas gauge drop. tongue.gif But its sure sweet to be in the boat and hear that motor "Howl"!

And keep those hooks sharp!
