Savage 212 slug gun

I'm thinking of selling my benelli Nova slug gun and getting a Savage 212 bolt action 12 guage slug gun.

Does anyone have one and how do you like it?

I have one and like it. It did break the left extractor the first time at the range, probably I didn't have a shell all the way to the back of the magazine when I cycled the bolt. Other than that it is a real accurate slug gun with several different loads. The big advantage is. it is a shotgun on a rifle platform. It shoulders and shoots like a rifle, which for me is better for shooting standing game than a shotgun. I added a padded cheek piece and can comfortably shoot a couple of boxes of shells in one session at the range with no sore shoulder or cheek. Since it uses rifle like bases for the scope the possibility of a bent cantelever mount is eliminated. Their are no rifle sights on it.
